Christianity, the way jesus intended:

When Jesus spoke to His followers about the Pharisees in the 23rd chapter of Matthew, He instructs them to, "Do and observe whatever they tell you, but not the works they do. For they preach, but do not practice." He goes on to call the Pharisees hypocrites and thieves, full of greed and self indulgence, being extremely diligent to collect the tithe while at the same time neglecting the more important matters of the law such as mercy, justice, and faithfulness.

In total, Jesus rebukes the Pharisees 7 times in the 23rd chapter of Matthew because not only did He not accept the way they were worshipping God, He flat out rejected their separatist mentality where they removed themselves from those they saw as lower than them such as drunkards, prostitutes, and tax collectors, while Jesus showed us through His actions that those were the people who were most in need. In fact, Jesus warned His followers that "Unless our righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees, we will certainly not enter the Kingdom of Heaven."

  • Is our righteousness surpassing that of the Pharisees?
  • Have we rid Christianity of the greed and hypocrisy Jesus spoke of?
  • Have we stopped the separatist mentality that places us above non-believers?

According to Lifeway research, 2/3 of Americans aged 23-30 stopped attending church because of a bad experience with church members being divisive, judgmental, or hypocritical. This is supported by Gallup, who reported that church membership in the U.S. has fallen below 50% for the first time in 80 years! The truth is that the majority of Christians are still engaging in the same practices and traditions that Jesus spent the latter part of His life fighting against!

  • We still use God's resources to build elaborate temples even though Jesus Christ, who ironically happened to be a craftsman and carpenter, NEVER built one.
  • We set up our churches like businesses with the majority of the tithe going to pay salaries of church leaders as well as the churches "overhead."
  • We still sit in our churches and wait for non-believers to come in so that we may have the opportunity to TELL THEM about God's love and grace when Jesus was out into the communities and SHOWED them God's love and grace. In doing so, He gave them a reason to believe in God, which is arguably a Christian's most important job.
  • Many Christians today look down their noses at those who are poor, homeless, or happen to be suffering from addiction when Jesus broke bread with them and showed them He loved them.
  • Many churches like to preach a message of love, kindness and compassion while non-believers in their own communities are suffering, which is the perfect opportunity to introduce them to God as Jesus showed us through His example.

Contrary to what modern Christianity has taught us, Jesus Christ was not sent to Earth merely to be a sacrificial lamb. He was sent to set an example of how to properly serve our Father in Heaven. At ArchAngel Ministry, we realize that there is only one true path to the Kingdom of Heaven and it lies in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. As Christians, we must be willing to step out of our churches and into our communities where we can actually be "fishers of men" by seeking out those who need Him most.

By joining our family, you are simply making a choice to follow the only human being to ever walk the planet who had the key to the Pearly Gates in His front pocket. ArchAngel Ministry doesn't have teachers. We are students of the only teacher that ever mattered when it comes to Christianity, Our leaders are humble enough to know that Jesus Christ is the sole authority, and we are dedicated to practicing Christianity in a manner that will reflect His love and character by strictly adhering to His teachings and mirroring the example HE set. It is in that spirit of humility that we ask you to join us, not follow us. It is our strong belief that all who call themselves Christian should follow Jesus Christ. We would just like to be first in line.

Romans 8:28-31

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. What then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

May God bless and keep you.
